Snow Performance 2014 Mustang GT Wins Dyno Shootout At Mopars At The Strip

Matt Snow of Snow Performance with his 2014 Mustang GT-500 that won the Supercharged Dyno Shootout at the 2014 Mopars At The Strip Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Snow Performance’s 2014 GT-500 made 700 rear-wheel horsepower to win the dyno shoot-out during the Mopars At The Strip show held April 11th thru the 13th in Las Vegas, Nevada. While other late-model muscle-cars were competing in this competition on race fuel, Snow Performance's Mustang won the supercharger category running only on pump gas. The Snow Performance Mustang GT-500 is equipped with a 2.4-inch supercharger pulley, an FMS oval throttle body, and a new Snow Performance Comp-One™ water-methanol injection.
system.

With these modifications of the stock engine, the horsepower levels are increased from 583 rear-wheel horsepower in stock form, to 700 rear-wheel horsepower. Snow had uses a 10-percent lower crank pulley to try and achieve more boost from the supercharger, but later was removed because in testing, Snow discovered that the factory equipped 2.3L TVS supercharger was being pushed past its efficiency range and more power could be made with just the 2.4-inch upper pulley.

According to Matt Snow, President of Snow Performance, the Mustang has more power capability, as only four-degrees of additional timing was added, and only 500ml/min of 50 percent methanol was used to hit the 700 rear-wheel horsepower mark!
